Fair Work Australia has advised that a decision issued by the Minimum Wage Panel recently granted all employees (e.g. stablehands) a pay rise effective 1 July 2010.

We remind Members’ that from 1 January 2010 an employees maximum ordinary time hours of work is 38 hours per week. We recommend that you review your payroll records, in particular to check compliance with wage rates, hours of work, superannuation and workcover.
Members are also reminded that as from 1 January 2010 it is a legal requirement for Employers to supply Employees with The Fair Work Information Statement as soon as possible after the commencement of employment.
