The following update has been provided by NSF SUPER for ATA Member’s information.
Nationwide Superannuation Fund (NSF) is a superannuation fund named within
the Horse and Greyhound Training Award 2010.
NSF Super’s MySuper authorisation
As you will be aware by now, MySuper is part of the government's Stronger Super reforms and is a new, simple and cost‑effective super product that will replace the existing ‘default’ products offered by super funds, including NSF Super.
MySuper products will have a simple set of product features, regardless of who provides them, that will help members, employers and market analysts to compare funds more easily based on a few key differences – cost, investment performance and the level of insurance cover.
From 1 January 2014, employers must make Superannuation Guarantee (SG) contributions for employees who have not made a choice of fund, to a fund offering a MySuper product, in order to satisfy their SG obligations.
NSF Super is pleased to announce that it has received authorisation to provide a MySuper offering from 1 September 2013.
For over 25 years, NSF Super has offered a simple, competitively priced default super product that is already similar to the government's MySuper requirements – so there is nothing that our supporting employers will need to do differently as a result of this change. Any members who may be affected by this announcement will be contacted directly.
NSF Super’s new website has launched
Making super simple is a mantra for the NSF Super team and we’ve listened to feedback we get from time to time from our supporting employers and members. As a result, the NSF Super team have recently launched a brand new and improved version of the NSF Super website!
Apart from looking more modern, the content has been refreshed to make sure it is more user-friendly and functional, plus, there is now optimised viewing across a range of mobile devices.
The big news for our supporting employers is the new EmployerAccess section – making it much easier to manage more of your super obligations online, including your contributions and employees details.
All employers (including users of the previous online access) will need to register for EmployerAccess to access these great new benefits – but there is a simple online registration process and most of your existing details will be ‘pre-populated’. Simply click on the ‘register’ link from the secure Employer login page you’ll find at the top right hand side of our website at www.nsfsuper.com.au
If you need any help through registration process or have any other questions about the changes simply email the NSF Super team at enquiries@nsfsuper.com.au or call 1800 025 241.
