NOTICE TO TRAINERS – On Course Arrival Times During the Spring Racing Carnival / Victoria / 29 Aug, 2011

The Racing Victoria Board have approved a recommendation from the Integrity Sub-Committee to extend the three (3) hour requirement for horses to be on course during the Spring Carnival.

This will mean all horses engaged from Race 3 onwards commencing at the Flemington meeting on 3 September 2011, will be required on course three (3) hours before the advertised starting time. Effectively, there is an additional 4 Saturdays and 1 Sunday metropolitan class meeting, before the Caulfield Guineas on 8 October where these requirements already apply.

HORSES ARE REQUIRED TO BE ON COURSE 3 HOURS FOR THE FOLLOWING RACE MEETINGS

> Flemington, September 3
> Moonee Valley, September 10
> Caulfield, September 17
> Caulfield, September 24
> Flemington, October 2 (Sunday)
> Caulfield, October 8
> Caulfield, October 12 (Wednesday)
> Caulfield, October 15
> Moonee Valley, October 22
> Flemington, October 29
> Flemington, November 1, 3, and 5

LR 46 part (3) The Stewards may by notice from time to time:

(a) at Metropolitan Race Meetings designated by the Stewards, require all horses in Race 3 onwards to be brought into the saddling paddock not less than 3 hours before the scheduled start time of their race; and

(b) at Country Race Meetings designated by the Stewards, require all horses in Race 1 onwards to be brought into the saddling paddock not less than 2 hours before the scheduled start time of their race.

(4) For the purposes of LR 46, - saddling paddock includes the racecourse.
