The Australian Trainers' Association Victorian Branch Committee, Management and staff are deeply saddened by the passing of Jacquie Little.
Jacquie Little, wife of top Caulfield trainer and former ATA Vic Branch Committee Member, Colin Little, passed away after a long battle with an inoperable brain tumour.
A horse lover from her early days, Jacquie rode trackwork in her early 20s for Hall of Fame Trainer Angus Armanasco and met her husband Colin at the Caulfield races.
A mother, racehorse syndicator and thoroughbred pedigree consultant, Jacquie recently added to her list of achievements by becoming a published author when she completed her book Starting Price, a murder mystery based on the racing industry, which was launched in May.
Jacquie was a key part of the Lord Lodge training operation, the home of Group 1 winners El Segundo, Ista Kareem and Blutigeroo.
She was also the driving force behind the refurbishment of Lord Lodge at Caulfield, transforming the historic house into one of Australia’s top 100 bed and breakfast establishments.
Our sincere condolences are extended to Colin, James, the team at Lord Lodge and all of Jacquie’s friends in racing.
