Racing Victoria Limited is proud to host the 2010 Thoroughbred Employee of the Year Awards.
Nominations for the 2010 Thoroughbred Employee of the Year Awards open on Friday 10th of December and we encourage all employers, owners and breeders to nominate staff who have made an exceptional contribution to the running of their business. Stable and stud employees are the backbone of our industry and these awards provide a valuable opportunity to recognise leading thoroughbred employees' hard work, skill and dedication. All stable/stud employees are eligible to be nominated for one of the awards listed below.
Full Time Stable Employee – Works at least 35 hours per week for the same stable
Part Time Stable Employee – Works no more than 30 hours per week on average for any one stable
Track Rider – Employed solely to ride track work
Stud Hand – Employed either full time or part time in the breeding industry
New Staff Member – Employed for less than 1 (one) year in the racing or breeding industry
The winner of each category will receive $500 and the two runners-up from each category will receive a framed certificate. Category winners then go forward for the overall Victorian Employee of the Year Awards, receiving a trophy and an additional $1000.
The finalists will be chosen from a panel of judges which consist of representatives from the Thoroughbred Racing Community and Racing Victoria.
The award winners will be announced at a presentation at the Moonee Valley Night Cup on Friday night 25th February 2011.
Please download the NOMINATION FORM which has the details of how to nominate and terms and conditions. Follow the guidelines and don’t miss the opportunity to nominate someone that’s made a difference to your stable or stud.
